On a warm summer evening in Bovallstrand on the Swedish west coast, an idea and a will to change the watch industry was formed. In 2012, brothers Mikael, Andreas and Johan Christensson founded the Swedish watch brand Waldor & Co. Nine years later, they have sold watches and jewelry to over 40,000 customers in 110 countries.
Hard work pays off. What started out in their garage has now evolved into a global watch and jewelry brand with the world at its feet.
But how did they do it?
- Our passion for watches and jewelry is reflected in everything we do. By collaborating with the best producers, cutting out the middlemen and selling our watches directly through our website, we are able to bring our customers exceptional timepieces at an end-price way below traditional retail. - says Andreas Christensson, founder of Waldor & Co.
Waldor & Co.'s commitment to creating a good relationship with their customers has also been a strong contributing factor to the company's growth.
- Our customers are a key player in our business. By selling our products without middlemen, we have direct contact with our customers and can develop our business according to their wishes - says Johan Christensson, founder of Waldor & Co.
The journey doesn't end here, Waldor & Co. do not settle for good enough - they look at improvements as a never-ending process without a final destination. Inspired by its Scandinavian roots, classic craftsmanship and different places in the world, Waldor & Co. continues to strive towards new goals.
